Care Virginia Management provides management services to Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.  We are looking for a Regional Manager of Human Resources to provide HR assistance to approximately 5 Centers in Virginia, 1 Center in Maryland, and 1 Center in Pennsylvania.


The Regional Manager of Human Resources needs to be able to travel to the following locations:  Colonial Heights, VA, Richmond, VA, Hopewell, VA, Chilhowie, VA, Greensburg, PA, and Montgomery Village, MD.


The Regional Human Resources Manager provides human resources support to Centers in an assigned region. The Regional Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing advice and guidance to management in accordance with federal and state labor and employment laws and regulations. In addition, this role provides support and assistance to employees, and ensures that Center management focuses on providing a positive and productive work environment for all employees. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
  2. Conduct effective, thorough, objective and timely investigations
  3. Provide advice, guidance, and training to assist in developing individuals and/or teams
  4. Work closely with management and employees to improve working relationships and employee morale
  5. Make regular visits to Centers to develop relationships with Center leadership and employees
  6. Conduct quarterly communication meetings at each center and provide feedback to Center leadership and work with Center leadership to establish action plans to address employee concerns
  7. Conduct routine audits of personnel files and documentation at Centers in assigned region
  8. Assist with recruitment for assigned region; participate in recruitment events and assist SDHR with coordination of effective recruitment plans for all Centers in assigned region
  9. Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the SDHR to develop action plans
  10. Assist with compensation analysis as needed to ensure that Centers are competitive in market
  11. Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations as it pertains to human resources and employee relations
  12. Perform other duties as assigned



  1. Minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience; prior HR experience supporting multiple sites preferred
  2. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  3. In-depth knowledge of employment law and regulations
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels
  5. Ability to manage sensitive employee issues in a confidential and professional manner
